Annual Christian Camps and Retreats

At Monterrey Christian School, we are committed to nurturing not only the academic growth of our students but also their spiritual development. Our Annual Christian Camps and Retreats are a cornerstone of this commitment, offering students an unparalleled opportunity to deepen their faith, build meaningful relationships, and enjoy unforgettable experiences.

Overview of the Program

Every year, our students embark on Christian Camps and Retreats designed to meet them at their spiritual and developmental levels. These events vary in length and structure, depending on the grade level of the students:

  1. One-Day Retreats: For our youngest students, these retreats provide an introduction to the spiritual and communal aspects of camp life. Through age-appropriate activities, worship sessions, and discussions, students learn foundational Christian values while engaging in fun and interactive experiences.
  2. Two-Day Camps: For students in High School (7th to 10th grade), the camps are extended to two days, allowing for a deeper dive into spiritual teachings. These camps include structured time for Bible study, team-building activities, and group worship, giving students more time to reflect on their faith and strengthen their relationships with peers and mentors.
  3. Three-Day Camps: For sixth and eleventh grade students, these camps provide an immersive experience that fosters spiritual maturity and leadership. With additional time for devotions, challenging outdoor activities, and guided discussions, students are encouraged to explore their personal faith journeys and consider how to live out Christian principles in their daily lives.

Objectives of Christian Camps and Retreats

The Annual Christian Camps and Retreats are intentionally designed with the following goals in mind:

  • Spiritual Growth: To provide students with a setting where they can connect with God, grow in their understanding of His Word, and experience His presence through worship, prayer, and reflection.
  • Character Building: To foster key Christian virtues such as compassion, humility, and integrity. Activities and discussions are tailored to encourage students to embody these values in their interactions and decisions.
  • Community and Fellowship: To create a sense of belonging and unity among students. Through shared experiences, students build lasting friendships rooted in their faith.
  • Memorable Experiences: To ensure students have a fun and enjoyable time through a blend of spiritual activities and recreational opportunities. From games and team challenges to campfires and music, every moment is designed to create lasting memories.

Program Highlights

  • Bible-Centered Teaching: Engaging lessons and devotionals that encourage students to delve into Scripture and apply its teachings to their lives.
