On Thursday 13th, Monterrey Christian School had the privilege of inaugurating the LAMP (Living According to the Master’s Plan) Program for 2025. LAMP is an exciting student-led initiative designed to inspire discipleship and create a vibrant community where the love of Christ can be shared. LAMP is not just a program; it is a movement born from the hearts of students passionate about spreading the Gospel and living out their faith with purpose and boldness.
The inaugural gathering welcomed 72 enthusiastic students who came together to worship, learn, and grow in their spiritual journey. The event was a powerful experience filled with meaningful moments of praise, prayer, and connection through God’s Word. With a heart for reaching others and deepening their relationship with Christ, students led their peers in worship through music and encouraged one another through prayer and Biblical reflection.
The LAMP Program will meet every two weeks, offering students the opportunity to grow as disciples and share the love of Jesus Christ within the school community and beyond. The program’s structure emphasizes key principles of Christian living:
- Biblical Teaching – Rooted in Scripture, each gathering will include a time of reflection and study of God’s Word.
- Worship and Praise – Music and worship are central to creating an atmosphere where students can connect with God and celebrate His goodness.
- Prayer and Fellowship – Students are encouraged to support and pray for one another, building a Christ-centered community that fosters unity and spiritual growth.
- Discipleship and Outreach – LAMP equips students with tools to grow in their faith and encourages them to live out the Great Commission by discipling others and sharing the Gospel.
We believe this initiative will have a lasting spiritual impact, empowering our students to walk boldly in their faith and be a light to others. At Monterrey Christian School, we are committed to cultivating an environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and spiritually—grounded in God’s truth and guided by His plan.
As the Apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 12:2, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” This verse captures the heart of the LAMP Program as we seek to live according to the Master’s plan.
We are incredibly grateful for the students, faculty, and staff who are dedicating their time and talents to making LAMP a reality. We look forward to seeing how God will work through this initiative to transform lives and draw students closer to Him.
We encourage all members of our community to pray for the success of this program and the students involved. May LAMP be a beacon of light, guiding our school community to walk faithfully in the Lord’s plan.
